About Kate

Growing up, Kate loved getting her hands messy working with paints, pastels, and charcoal, in order to bring what’s on her mind to life. She admires Classical art because of the hard work and true talent it takes to bring art to life. For example, a photo taken of a sunset does not do justice to its beauty when a sunset is so bold and beautiful in life. The artists can use the paints and the knowledge of proportions, lines, perspective, values, hues, saturation, and lighting in order to create a painting that resembles what people see in life, with the added beauty and life of a painting.

That is why she admires classical art because it excels in the beauty of the painting without outside worldly influences.

Originally rooted in Northern Virginia, Kate is a huge outdoors lover which means you’ll find her out traveling, exploring, and keeping herself busy with whatever opportunities she’s given. Plus, she is down for tacos any time everyday!

She was born hard of hearing but after over ten years of speech therapy, she can lipread and talk normally with an accent. She spoke English as her first language and it wasn’t until Kate was seven she was introduced to sign language. Kate hopes that, with her hearing loss, she can be an inspiration to show that nothing is impossible with God. It takes hard work, dedication, commitment, being open with others, and a whole lot of Jesus.
